We freeze, pack and store fruit and vegetables for food manufacturers across Poland and Europe. Two fluidisation tunnels rated at 200 tonnes per 24 hours and high-bay cold storage for 5,000 tonnes of goods.

200
tonnes per 24 h
A deliberately narrow specialisation, our own production and storage facilities, and long experience serving buyers abroad.
We concentrate on a handful of commodities and run them in large production batches. That keeps costs optimised and quality repeatable.
Two fluidisation tunnels with a combined capacity of 200 tonnes per 24 h. The product stays free-flowing and the structure of the raw material is preserved.
5,000 tonnes of storage capacity. All cold store buildings were designed and built from the ground up.
Sales to England, Germany, Belgium, France, the Netherlands, Italy and Scandinavia.
The company
The company has operated in the frozen food market since 2004, when the owner acquired a cold store with several decades of tradition in the food industry. In 2009 an investment programme began that covered the entire production zone — every cold store building was designed and built from the ground up and the plant was fitted with new production lines.
Today Chłodnia Janus is a wholly Polish-owned business, known as a frozen food producer in Europe and valued by its customers for knowledge and experience.
Catalogue
The full range of cuts and calibrations is in the product catalogue. Every item can be quoted individually.
Specialisation
Our product portfolio strategy is built on specialisation. The plant concentrates on processing a few commodities, of which onion is the strategic one. The remaining raw materials — rhubarb, tomato and courgette as well as sour cherry and strawberry — are processed in large production batches. This specialisation is what makes production cost optimisation possible.

Technology
In a fluidisation tunnel the pieces of product are suspended in a stream of cold air and freeze individually. The goods never set into a block, and after thawing they hold their shape and colour.
Visual, organoleptic and physico-chemical inspection of each delivery.
Peeling, washing, cutting and calibration to the buyer's specification.

Packing into the agreed formats, then into the high-bay cold store.
Services
Beyond our own production we make freezing capacity and cold store space available to external customers.
Packaging
Frozen products are packed into sacks, cartons and octabins; fresh products ship in big bags, sacks and crates.
Quality
High, consistent quality and the safety of our products and services is a fundamental objective of the company. The quality policy is delivered through the PN-EN ISO 22000 and BRC systems, complemented by a system guaranteeing batch traceability at every stage of production.
B2B supply
We sell into England, Germany, Belgium, France, the Netherlands, Italy and Scandinavia. Our commercial policy rests on durable relationships with suppliers and customers alike, built on mutual trust and honesty.
Send us your specification — we will come back with a price, availability and possible production dates.
